U.S.A Team Won Three Silver Medals and One Bronze at 2006 International Chemistry Olympiad

The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) originated in 1968 with participants from Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Hungary. Other Eastern European nations soon joined the program. Western European nations entered in 1974; the United States sent its first team in 1984 and hosted the event in 1992. In 2006, 264 students from 67 nations participated in the 38th IChO held on July 2-11, 2006, in Gyeongsan, Korea.
