Two Southland Students Received Perfect Scores on AMC 10
The Mathematical Association of American announced the students who received perfect scores on AMC 10 and AMC 12 Competition. Two southland students among those honored.
Andrew Lee of Northwood High School and Vicent Le of San Diego Math Circle Received Perfect Score on AMC 10 Exam
The Mathematical Association of America published the students who received perfect scores on AMC 10 and AMC 12. Andrew Lee of Northwood High School in Irvine, Orange County and Vicent Le of San Diego Math Circle are among 59 American high school students who received perfect marks.
AMC stands for American Mathematical Contests. AMC 10 is designed for students in grade 10 or under and AMC 12 is designed for students in grade 12 or under. This year, about 100,000 students took the AMC 10 and 120,000 students took the AMC 12. About 30,000 students qualified for AIME (American Invitational Mathematical Exam). To qualify, a student needs to score at least 120 on AMC 10 and 100 on AMC 12.
