San Diego Math League Contests Result Announced

San Diego Math League concluded its five round math competition for middle school and high school students on March 25, 2006 at University of California San Diego. Vicent Le placed first in the Gauss (high school) Division and Johnny Li won top honor in the Euler (middle school) Division.

The San Diego Math League (SDML) is a five round contests for students of the San Diego Math Circle.  The two divisions are Gauss (high school) and Euler (middle school) division.  Each contest consists of two rounds: a 15 problem multiple choice round and a 6 problem short answer round.  The top 5 students in each round of the contests are invited to participate in the San Diego Math Olympiad (SDMO) on April 29, 2006.

The top five students in the High School Division are:

Vincent Le, Arjun Ravikumar, Ben Wendel, Michael Shen and Edward Zhu

The top six students in the Middle School Division are:

Johnny Li, Jack Latta, Ilya Gaidarov, Charles Chen, Leon Zhou, and Stephen Chen.
