Intel Science Talent Search Finalists

Forty High School students were named finalists who will meet in Washington D.C. in March to compete for $630,000 in awards with the top winner earning $100,000 from the Intel Foundation.

This is the first year that California is the state with the highest number of finalists. Finalists will gather in Washington D.C. from March 10th through March 15th. The judging process will be rigorous but students have the unique opportunity to meet with national leaders, interact with leading scientists and display their research at the National Geographic Society. The top winners will be announced on March 15th at a black-tie gala awards ceremony held at the National Building Museum.

California Finalists include:

  • Jonathan Li, Laguna Niguel
  • Xiaoyu Cao, San Diego
  • David Kenneth Tang-Quan, Rancho Palos Verdes
  • Bonnie Rae Lei, Walnut
