Avid Students Shined at 2011 State MATHCOUNTS

2011 Southern California State MATHCOUNTS was held on March 19, 2011.  Rancho San Joaquin Middle School, comprised of four students from Avid Academy, finished first in team competition.  Other Orange County teams Venado Middle School finished in 9th and Kraemer Middle School finished in 10th place.  In individual competition, Reyd Nguyen of Black Mountain Middle School finished first in written competition and Michele Chen of Venado Middle School finished first in Countdown.

Among the students who finished in the top 40 in Southern California, the following 12 received MATHCOUNTS training at Avid Academy.  Congradulations!
