2007 Southern California MATHCOUNTS

2007 Southern California MATHCOUNTS was held at UCI on March 17, 2007.  38 teams and 160 students winners of MATHCOUNT chapter competitioins participated in the event.  Sixth grader Daichi Tsuna of Ridgecrest Intermediate School won first place and will represent California at the National MATHCOUNTS competition.  He will be joined by three students from Northern California: Nathan Pinkser, Patrick Yang, and Albert Wu.  David Tang-Quan of Ridgecrest won first place countdown and the first place team is Ridgecrest Intermediate School.

All three Orange County teams finished in the top 10:

  • 5th Place - St. Margaret's Episcopal School
  • 6th Place - Rancho San Joaque Middle School
  • 10th Place - Kraemer Middle School
