Four Students Advance to 2010 USA Physics Olympiad Semifinal Round

AAPT announced that 312 students nationally qualified for the Semifinal Round of the 2010 USA Physics Olympiad Competition.  Four Avid students made the semifinal round:

• Johnny Li, 11th Grade, St. Margaret's Episcopal School
• Alexander Ramirez, 11th Grade, Troy High School
• Simon Wu, 10th Grade, University High School
• Dai Yang, 10th Grade, University High School

In addition, our TA George Xing, 12th Grade, University High School also made the semifinal round.  Congratulations!

The semifinal competition will be held during the week of March 12 - 17.  Top 24 students will be selected to the 2010 USA Physics Team.
