The range of questions and topics is designed to engage students with only a modest background in problem solving while still stretching the best students in the country.
Although normal registration for the Mandelbrot Competition is over, late registration is still open!
This competition takes place in five rounds spaced throughout the school year. Each round consists of seven short-answer questions valued by difficulty at one, two, or three points. The questions on the Mandelbrot Competition cover a variety of non-calculus topics such as algebra, geometry, exponents, probability, and a few others such as number theory or classical inequalities.
Registration ends October 31. The actual contest will take place between November 3 - 7.
