Online Math League (OML)

For Grades 2 - 8

Fun, Motivating Math Contests

  • 3 Yearly Contests: The Online Math League offers 3 fun, challenging math contests throughout each school year. Online Math League contests each consist of fifteen challenging multiple-choice questions. These competitions have a 30-minute time limit, and no calculators or other reference materials may be used.
  • Grade-Level-Specific Contests: Contests are offered in levels ranging from 2nd grade up through Algebra. They are aligned with state & national standards and include problems of varying difficulty so all students are appropriately challenged.
  • The Thrill of Competition: Contest scores are immediately posted online; your students can compete with others from around the world!
  • Flexible Testing Schedule: Contests are open for one full month each to allow students & teachers to participate at a convenient time. The first exam is anytime during the month of November, the second is between January 15 and February 15 and the final exam is anytime during the month of March.
  • Everything Is Online: Students may take all contests and practice tests online, receiving immediate feedback about how they've done (paper & pencil contests still available upon request).

Team and Individual Awards

  • Team Awards: The Online Math League offers plaques to the top 10% (plus ties) of the teams participating in each grade level competition.
  • Individual Awards: Every team also receives two high-quality medals so that top students may be honored; individual registrants scoring in the top 10% will receive a medal as well.
  • Extra Medals: Extra medals may be ordered for $5 each so that a team can recognize as many additional students as desired.
