College Board AP Calculus AB & AP Calculus BC Exams. The students who take the Calculus BC exam will also receive a Calculus AB sub-grade on their score report card. Therefore, it is generally not necessary to take both Calculus AB and Calculus BC exams. However, if you plan to take AP Calculus class in your senior year, you may consider take the AP Calculus AB exam in your junior year so the grade will be a part of your college admission considerations.
