Dr. James Li is a co-founder of Avid Academy, a talent development community for gifted youth based in Southern California. An accomplished researcher in instructional design and founder of an award-winning e-learning and knowledge management company, he has over twenty years of experience in designing and delivering innovative learning programs. Combining his expertise in training the 21st century workforce with a lifelong passion in learning, Dr. Li found his calling in identifying and educating talented youth, bright and early. Dr. Li received his Ph.D in Educational Psychology and Technology and M.S. in Computer Science from University of Southern California. He also has a B.S. in Physics and Informatics from East China Normal University. He is a key founder and sponsor of the Friends of San Diego Math Circle and provides seminars that help parents develop the math talent in their child. He is also a volunteer math coach and helped his middle school students win state and national awards in addition to receiving perfect scores in SAT I, SAT II, and AP exams.
