The 2008 U.S. Physics Olympiad Team selection process consists of four round of competition.
Preliminary Exam: 25-question, 75-minute multiple choice exam covering Newton Mechanics. About 400 students advance to the Quarter-Final Exam. In 2008, 415 students advanced. Please visit the 2008 U.S. Physics Team homepage for a list of qualified students.
Quarter-Final Exam: 4-question, 60-minute Free Response exam covering Newton Mechanics and Electrostatics. About 150 students advance to the Semi-Final Exam.
