Who Should Attend?
Our camp is limited to 25 students in grades 4 - 6 per session. To receive personalized attention, you will be placed into small groups according to problem solving experience. If you are bright and talented, eager to explore advanced math topics, and motivated to solve challenging problems, come join other gifted students to make this summer enjoyable and meaningful.
What Will You Learn?
In this introductory problem solving camp, our focus is to teach you good problem solving habits to minimize careless mistakes and improve problem solving speed.
You will apply eight common problem solving strategies to solve problems in arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, percent, geometric figures, number theory, probability, and logic reasoning. You will also practice mental math techniques for number operations, fractions and prime factorization.
Students will practice problems selected from mainstream math contests and standardized exams such as:
- Online Math League
- CAT 6, ISEE, SSAT, and PSAT
